Heart ENERGY Yoga! TEACHERS

Linn Sennott, Creator of Heart Energy Yoga!

Linn Sennott, PhD, E-RYT200, RYT500 Yoga Teacher, Creator of Heart Energy Yoga!, Advanced Core Health Facilitator

Linn is a yogi for 30+ years and teacher for 15 years. She accomplished her 200 hour training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga in Massachusetts and her 500 hour at Living Room Yoga in St. Petersburg, Florida. Linn innovated “Yoga on the Ball with Weights and Bands,” using large exercise balls, light weights, and exercise bands for rapid gains in strength and flexibility. She produced a DVD of her work combining light hand weights and yoga.

Linn is an experienced workshop leader, having frequently led a popular workshop on Yoga Nidra. Linn created “Heart Energy Yoga!” (HEY!), a four-session series to activate and integrate our chakras—powerful energy centers. The HEY! participant experiences a unique series of specially selected yoga postures with effective energy releasing and forgiving processes, to achieve integration through their Heart Center. Linn trains yoga teachers to bring this transformative HEY! experience to their students. She is author of the book “Heart Energy Yoga!.”

Linn’s classes are meditative with inward focus emphasizing listening to our body and breathing. She presents options so the postures work for each individual, while providing a satisfying challenge.

Linn’s profession as a university mathematics professor spanned 30 years. Now in her 72nd year, she enjoys an expansive second half of life assisting individuals, teaching, and leading groups and workshops.

Corinne Evans, RYT 200, Heart Energy Yoga! Teacher

Corinne is a yogi for 10+ years in the U.S. and in Europe. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, having completed her RYT 200 hour training at St. Petersburg Yoga. She is certified to teach Heart Energy Yoga! through the HEY! program developed by Dr. Linn Sennott and Dr. Ed Carlson.

Corinne began studying yoga as a physical practice, to increase strength, flexibility and balance. Over time, she discovered that yoga also increases her emotional and spiritual strength, helping her keep healthy through a series of personal losses. Her training in Heart Energy Yoga! has deepened this growth process by providing, through energy opening, a means to eliminate suffering from past experiences and to avoid suffering in the future. She became a HEY! Teacher in order to share this healthing and strengthening practice with others.

Corinne enjoyed previous careers as a French teacher and college librarian; she now teaches yoga privately.

Paula Hoeferlin, RN, BA, Registered Yoga Teacher, HEY! Teacher

I became a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher in 2006, through The Lotus Room & Tampa Yoga. I completed my 500 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher training at St. Petersburg Yoga in 2014. I have been an RN since 1983 and attained a BA in psychology in 1999. My nursing practice has included OB/GYN, ICU, Hospice, and Surgery. Through nursing I attained a Healing Touch 3 certificate similar to Reiki.

Yoga helped me break out of chronic pain after a neck and shoulder injury from an automobile accident. My yoga practice became a “Lifestyle,” as it was the only modality that relieved my suffering where multiple Western medicine practices had failed. This motivated me to become a teacher so I could help others on their path to emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental wholeness.

I currently teach 2 weekly yoga classes and have private students. I hope to inspire others to enrich their own yoga journey with Heart Energy Yoga! Through this practice I have personally experienced the health and wellness that comes from opening energy blocks. My hope is to give each and every student the tools through “HEY!” to deal with challenges so that they may live full, rich, authentic lives.
